AVA back to supporting TNRM

Fantastic breakthrough for the clannies! TNRM is being recognised by the authorities again! Read it here-hot off the presses of Dawn’s blog.
Of course it isn’t the be-all-and-all, but compared to the current impasse to the fatal deteriment of clannies everywhere in Singapore, which has existed since 2003, it’s a great first step back in the [...]

Disturbing, what we do to cats

While researching the Safety: Mesh up your windows page, I looked for explanations of depth perception. This list of what Google threw up is very disturbing. What are humans doing to cats, in the name of science or research?? How much of this is actually necessary?
Here again, on behalf of the clannies, we appeal to [...]

Safety: Mesh up your windows

Well, here’s a new addition to the Kitty TLC archives, and an addendum to Cat parent shopping checklist : Safety: Mesh up your windows
Remember, even Superman only had a superdog, there’s no supercat, so unless you relish the anxiety of worryiing about your kitty flying out the window, please don’t encourage your kitty to practise and [...]

Angel’s care, and adoption hope

I’ve just written to Angel’s sponsors, to discuss the possibility of them helping out with Angel’s medical bill, and sponsoring of Angel’s medical/health needs in view of her FiV status.
As I said to Cat, we’re no strangers to FiV. Milly, our own slacker, we lost last year to extremely aggressive gastro-lymphoma at the young age [...]

Macy a bit sniffly again

Since last Thursday, Macy has been holding up well against the cursed haze. But this morning, she was going down a bit again,.
Here’s the crux – we don’t want to medicate her unnecessarily, neither do we want to be late and end up having her really sick and having to visit the vet. But we’re [...]

Meow?

Yesterday morning, btmao heard indistinct meowing while serving Cara and Cassie. She went round the carpark and could not locate the source.
Last evening, she went round again, and still no luck.
This morning, there was still nothing. We can only hope the meower is ok.

Salted fish, What the… ?!

On Monday, btmao started her day in the usual way, feed the Area 1 carpark cats.
Then I started my day with swearing, because she sms’d to say there’s a huge pile of raw  salted fish, cushioned by some kibbles, at Cara and Cassie’s feeding spot! I replied and asked her to check with a ground-floor [...]
