Snow Ball has fattened up, he looks healthy now. Trust foster mum and Mei for their miracles. i always think Mei is a blessing for foster mum and the felines.

    Hi Mary,
Yes indeed. It never fails to amaze me what a bit of tlc can do. Makes it even harder to understand how anyone could even start to neglect a pet, cat, rabbit, bird, turtle, dog or whatever, and then say they can’t cope when things get bad.

You are right Calsifer, but then we are the ‘odd’ one.

Office aunty told me her neighbour in Boon Lay who had abandoned her black cat is now planning to dump another one because she is pregnant and her husband wants the cat to go. Ironic part is – this husband has been living with her and the cats before they were officially married; no problem then but once officially married, he wants both cats to go and the wife happily obliged.

Aunty is telling me to help the cat by adopting her; and told me the cat is so good and good…. i told aunty to adopt the cat but she told me her husband will quarrel with her.

The lady mentioned to aunty she can board the cat at AVA for free (i wanna faint at such ignorance; and a phrase that i used often – how can love and feeling be so cheap). She is an adopted child, these cats and her house were left to her care by her godparents whom has passed away, yet she has the heart to dump these felines.

To summarise, i told her to post the cat for adoption at CWS adoption board; she has not done so. i don’t know how else i can help this cat and frankly speaking, i don’t feel good knowing, i don’t know how else i can help this cat.

    Mary,
    That is terrible!

Personally, I don’t think she is ignorant about the truth about cats being dumped at AVA. Rather she is weaving a self-delusion to ease the guilt on her conscience for sending them to AVA to die.

btmao and I often come across such people while out feeding the clannies. You see people who seem interested in the cats, so you strike up a conversation, and hope to educate them about sterilisation, tnrm, responsible feeding and the plight of cats who are rounded up to die at the AVA because of complaints. It is frightening how many “know” rounded up cats are sent to ‘an animal paradise”, because the government is not so cruel as to kill the cats they round up.

Hi, how old is Snowball? I have 3 cats at home but my dominant cat can get very jealous and turn aggresive if another cat compete for my affection (she considers me wholely hers alone!) I had a bad experience trying to introduce a kitten into the clan. But if Snowball is bigger and older than her, she’ll back off. She is 16 months old. I do so love Snowball’s eyes. Let me know. Thank you for considering Snowball. I will email you.

    Hello Sue,
Sasha is not being actively “promoted” as a for-adoption-cat. But we would love to see her get a home. Will email you shortly to discuss.
