Sorry no vacancies

I’m freaking out. The day before, Foster Mum called. The occupants of the cage that Mabel and Dharma are slated to occupy on 3 Mar seemed to need it for a little longer.
So of course I had to ask the temp foster and Autumnpiglet about holding on to the sisters beyond 3 Mar. Luckily both [...]

ST 20070226: It’s not the size of the dwelling that matters, it’s how pets are managed

Another great response to this illogic. Mr Lee mentions Tyke, r.i.p, so I thought I should also use this chance to speak out for her and the animals now suffering what she has gone through as a circus animal. Check back later Click here to learn about Tyke. Meantime, here’s the piece de resistance:

ST 20070224: Keeping pets a far better experience than the zoo

A great rebuttal by CWS to this illogic. For once, this is in the print edition. Thank Bast for small miracles!

TNP 20070226: I’M WILLING TO ADOPT BLACKIE

Well, it’s a compromise, but it doesn’t makes sense…. why must Blackie be removed from her home? (This report is a follow-up to this one)

TNP 20070226: SCHOOL RAISES $1,400 FOR INJURED CAT’S OPERATION

Cockle-warmer. I just hope they don’t get dumped-on from all this publicity… backpeddle from adverse parental feedback (Followup to Stomp 20070216: Pioneer Sec saves resident cat ginger)

Snowbell is home-free!

Foster Mum called yesterday with the wonderful news. As of Sunday, 25 Feb 07, Snowbell (her story here) has a forever home.
Pre-adoption photo updates  still pending. Apologies.

Izzy Buddy: JJ

During our visit with Izzy today, we also met his bud, JJ. A lovely boy. His mum told us she picked him when he was only a tiny tot of a month or so. From a carpark and the fate of incarnation as a treadmark no less. Lucky kitt.

Izzy visit

Today we paid a visit to Izzy, our first since he went home with his dad last Nov. He’s grown so much we could not stop gushing! He’s now a very respectable 5 kilos.

And here’s Izzy’s buddy: JJ!

ST 200702021: The cat’s out of the bag

This is definitely argument FOR allowing people to keep pets. The Lus have previously written a letter in support of cats as pets and to ask fro the HDB to scrap their ridiculous ban.

ST should be printing more of such features, not wasting ink on drivel like this.

ST 20070222: Keeping animals: How to handle a pet peeve

Mr “Ban-cats-AND-dogs-from-flats” Heng aka “Old-folks-who-fall-have-only-themselves-to-blame” Heng is at it again.
I agree with Budak who posted this comment on vegancat’s blog entery of Mr Heng’s latest antics:
The most ’substantive’ points he can raise in his rambling rebuttal to counter a well-thought out survey are crowded pet shops (a valid problem but not at all relevant here) [...]

Mabel’s trial adoption not working out

Well, it’s confirmed. Mabel does not like dogs – she is so defensive that she consistently tries to swipe and fight with Autumnpiglet’s pack. On their part, they only want to play with her!
How confounding given that she and her family are supposed to be friends with the resident dogs at PH’s?
But Mabel sure has [...]
