Another article in the media for World Animal Day today. This is a beautiful, impassioned plea on the animals’ behalf. In addition, it’s is a call for action and a response to the “Animals Matter To Me” event held by ACRES. Remember, the event runs from tomorrow through to Sunday.

Rub-a-dub-dub, cats in various tubs, part deux… Rheilly she-who-freaks-out-when-camera-is-out, actually granted poor minion me a few rare shots of her in her favourite tub, in a dark darkly corner where light is poor.
The short big-eyed one is as snug as ever.
An attempt at artsy furrtiness

(EDIT: a wonderful letter: ST 20071004: Let’s pay more attention to animal welfare)
A little of a wake-up call about animals, Earth, and us. Remember the ACRES “Animals Matter To Me” 3-day event going on at the Atrium@Orchard Atrium, which starts tomorrow.

UPDATE: Sweety has found a home.
(Must read: Cat care refs.)
I’m Sweety, and I’m as sweet as my name.
I’m a 4 month old calico female kitten.
I am curious…
and playful. Did I mention I love people.
Take me home please? You’ll have unending saccharine sweet affection.
My playmates Kitty Boy and Landy are also available for adoption.

I am a good-looking ginger tabby with tastefully positioned bits of white.
I like to watch the world go by.
I like to play at pensiveness too.
Most of all, I like having [...]

UPDATE: Landy has found a home.
(Must read: Cat care refs.)
I’m Landy the purring machine, and I come equipped with everlasting batteries.
I’m stylishly designed in classic tabby.
I’m a new model, made only 4 month ago, so I’m good for years and years, made with oodles and oodles of love to give.
I am also fitted with endearing [...]

This is an interesting post by Dawn, showcasing the variety of “true intentions” that peppers the adoption-scape of Singapore. Incidentally, take some time to read the comments – dovetails with my point about the poor Songkok Kitten.

This is a response to the quintessentially Singapore Swhinge of the “comprane king” letter about a hapless bird disturbing his time with Mr Sandman. Am very heartened that it is a letter in support of the bird, and nature.
(EDIT: Some interesting comments on this blog post)
