Yuki is Snowball now, he’s also unwell

Foster Mum just called. V had gone by the cattery, and showed Yuki to her. Change of plans in order.

She is very concerned that Yuki may have the same skin problems as Snowy. Apparently, the reddish spots and patches we saw on Yuki are not scratch/bite marks but manifestation of skin irritation, like Snowy had. Tomorrow she will bring him to the vet to get him looked over.

Now it seemed even more clear that Yuki, whom Foster Mum is calling Snowball, was abandoned. Such irresponsible behaviour is utterly contemptible. The idiots who abandoned Snowball haven conveniently burdened others with their responsibility.

Going by what Snowy went through, the potential cost of stabilising Snowball’s condition would cost somewhere between $500 to $1,000. It’s a big whammie for us because we’re still reeling from the assorted problems of Marty, Corrie, Kheilly, Joey, and Bam Bam, and having to cover Corrie and Rheilly’s care – both are FiV. Luckily, Angel’s costs are being taken care by her sponsors. Not a lot of comfort in our situation, really, but it’s still tons better than having to foot everything by our twoselves, considering our overly modest salaries.
